Grace. It’s the first of TCC’s
6 "G"s—so you know it must be important. Well, it’s
more than important—it’s vital! We hear and maybe even
use the word grace a lot, without thinking much about what it really
is and what it’s supposed to do in our lives. The truth is,
it’s the foundation of everything we experience in Christ—and
it’s the only thing that we have to hold on to when it comes
to resting in God’s present power and promised future. So
we’re going to dissect grace for a closer look at what it’s
all about.

A number of years ago many people were
wearing the popular W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets. While
the bracelets are out of vogue-the concept of living the way Jesus
did has not ceased to be the goal of the Christian life. Going along
with that notion, this series, which begins the week before Easter
and concludes two weeks after, will look specifically at WHAT JESUS
SAID about four pretty impacting topics. And since there’s
a rising interest among spiritual seekers as to the teachings of
Jesus-what Jesus said becomes as important as what Jesus would do.

Well by this time in the calendar most
of those January resolutions have faded into oblivion. And it’s
not necessarily because those New Year commitments weren’t
valid or important. It’s more because life gets in the way.
You know, problems and setbacks and people who throw obstacles into
our best-laid plans. But what if those things were still a part
of God’s plan to strengthen our character and take us to places
we could never get on our own? What if coming out of a roadblock
or a detour in our journey actually allowed us to make more progress
than if it had never happened at all? So instead of slowing down—we
could EXCELERATE!

Do you ever wonder
why the early followers of Jesus had such an impact on their communities?
It's because they simplified their lives into 4 distinct priorities.
Those 4 things are still available today so that our lives can make
a difference too. I call them The Fantastic Four. Make sure you
come and find out what they're all about!
