Most people think Jesus was a nice
guy. And in fact, he really was. But he wasn’t necessarily
a “safe” person in that he never caused a ruckus or
ruffled any feathers. What Jesus did was nothing short of revolutionary,
for he came against the corruption of politics and the hypocrisy
of religion. And he made a lot of enemies. But he changed the world
by changing people’s hearts. And he’s still changing
lives. The revolution continues…and it’s a revolution
of love!

God’s intention all along for
his prophets would be so people could profit
from what they had to say. After all, they were representing God.
Their words were really his words. But that doesn’t mean the
people always wanted to hear what the prophets (that is, God) had
to say. These four messages take a closer look at four pretty big
players in prophetic history—and what could possibly be the
most important message each prophet uttered for God. These messages
are still “prophetable” today!

Bond. James Bond. Everyone knows the
man of action from the famous string of adventure movies—but
did you know the Bible has its own man of action. The New Testament
book of James is a letter written to explain to believers what it
looks like practically, to be a follower of Jesus. And James doesn’t
really beat around the bush. So if you really desire to reflect
the character of Christ in everyday life—then you’ll
want these messages to be shaken, not stirred!

You know, BUSY, only
spelled like DIZZY. I think that spelling says
it all. Our biblical journey from Mother’s Day to Father’s
Day and will deal with biblical prescriptions for living a balanced
life with respect to both relationships and life activity. Make
time for all six of these messages, including the final one during
Church in the Park.

Grace. It’s the first of TCC’s
6 "G"s—so you know it must be important. Well, it’s
more than important—it’s vital! We hear and maybe even
use the word grace a lot, without thinking much about what it really
is and what it’s supposed to do in our lives. The truth is,
it’s the foundation of everything we experience in Christ—and
it’s the only thing that we have to hold on to when it comes
to resting in God’s present power and promised future. So
we’re going to dissect grace for a closer look at what it’s
all about.
